Only three days after starting his Twitter, Rubens Barrichello has become the new leader among Brazilian drivers in terms of numbers of followers, overtaking Nelsinho Piquet.
Rubinho has become the first Brazilian driver to reach the amazing mark of 10,000 followers, surpassing other drivers who started using the service a long ago. By the way, it is curious to note that Twitter was already popular among Brazilian Indy drivers long before F1 drivers “discovered” it.
Here you can see some of the Brazilian drivers in Twitter, the number of followers of each one (updated 26/06/09) and the date on which he posted its first text to the service (by clicking on the name of each one, you go directly to his Twitter page).
Pauer Soft has launched F1 Timing, Formula 1 official application for iPhone and iPod. The application is amazing, you have access to the same data that engineers see from the pit wall, allowing real-time monitoring of all the races and qualifying sessions of 2009 season. You can see lap times for all drivers and, better yet, the user has a dynamic map where he can follow the position of any driver on the track and see the difference between that driver and his oponents. With all those features, the application is more complete than the Live Timing applet in Formula 1 official site.
The only problem is the price: 25.99 euros for the version that allows you to access data from all races of the season. In addition, there will be a version limited to a single grand prix. The version for the England Grand Prix, held at Silverstone next Sunday, is already available from Apple Store. Price: 5.99 euros.
