A Noite no Castelo (The night in the castle)

Monday, February 1st, 2010

This is one of my favorite lullaby songs when putting Laïs to sleep. Hélio Ziskind singing “A Noite no Castelo”.

Afternoon at João and Grazi’s home

Thursday, October 29th, 2009
Laïs had a lot of fun last Sunday at João and Graziela’s home. She must have thought: “This people are very crazy”, while looking at Eduardo, João, Grazi and Ana Carla playing Rock Band - Beatles on the Wii. And she also talked a lot to Grazi talked at the phone.

See the two videos below.

Laïs in the Castanyada

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

The Castanyada is a typical Catalan festival, celebrated in the All Saints’  Day.  In schools, girls dress in “castanyera” women who sell chestnuts on the streets.

Afternoon in Lloret de Mar

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

This afternoon we went for a walk in Lloret de Mar, a beach town about 80 km northeast of Barcelona. There, we met Bebert and Chantal, Virginie uncles, and his son and daughter, Dennis and Karine (by the way, it was the birthday of Dennis, who is also godfather to Virginie, beyond being her cousin). They came from France to spend a week in a hotel in Lloret.

The weather was great, clear skies and very warm, very different from the rains that fell during the week in Barcelona. Laïs loved walking along the beach, seeing the hotel swimming pool, and, curious as always, enjoyed every minute of the trip.

See pictures here.
